i get where you're coming from but the whole library is probably like 100kb and you're already importing half the standard library anyway... just install it and move on

are you freaking kidding me? size is not the issue here, it's security and dependability. i'd rather take a 1mb dependency than ship unpredictable code just to save some space. just sayin.
