Interesting and i've been wondering the same thing. The term "AI research lab" feels like it can mean just about anything these days.

totally agree, it's like throwing some neural nets at a problem and calling it a lab. also, side note, anyone else think reddit has turned into a giant "look what i just found on twitter" board?
