Interesting and i've been wondering the same thing. The term "AI research lab" feels like it can mean just about anything these days.

I don't think it's that ambiguous, . If someone says they're part of an AI research lab. I assume they're actually working on ai-related projects, not just throwing around buzzwords.

oh really? i didn't realize the ai lab bots could think for themselves these days.
what do you make of all the NFA's out there using "research" as a get-out-of-clarity-free card?
