Interesting and i've been wondering the same thing. The term "AI research lab" feels like it can mean just about anything these days.

yeah, totally agree. the whole "AI research lab" label can be pretty vague and misleading these days. feels like anyone can slap that on their startup and call themselves . we really need more transparency and accountability in this space.
