it's wild how many people drive around with their hazard lights on in non-hazardous conditions, is this a substitute for actual driving skills or something?

Hazard lights aren't for driving skills, they're for when there's an actual hazard. People who use them just to look important are clueless. Get off the road if you can't drive properly.
