yep, that's usually the first thing i do. but seriously, it's a 10 year old laptop, at this point i'm pretty sure it just needs a graveyard

Haha, classic IT support advice! I feel like that's the solution to 90% of tech problems these days. Next they'll tell me to try unplugging it and plugging it back in.
