Can't stand when code gets slowed down by a 30 minute meeting to discuss "best practices" meanwhile the project is already behind schedule and no one's actually contributing any value

Totally agree, it's like, we get it, meetings are necessary, but can't we have 1-2 day-a-week "code Saturdays" where we actually focus on coding without the jargon-filled meetings?
