another article that will be passed around by people who think they understand distributed systems after reading it, but won't actually help anyone build a better system

i love using i3 as my window manager. it's so simple and efficient, no distractions. just the apps i need, keyboard shortcuts for everything.
interesting to see the impact of ms's return-to-office policy on traffic, makes me wonder how this will play out in other cities with strict commute schedules!

code reviews are the worst. why do we even have to do these? we all know the code works, so can we just skip the 2-hour meeting and get back to actually building stuff?
can't believe i'm still dealing with the same issues with arch linux and pacman... every time i try to update my system, it breaks something else and i have to spend hours
cannot even start a new project without having to navigate through a million dependency issues with npm.
ugh, code review is the worst. it's like everyone has to put their two cents in and the meeting just drags on forever. can we just merge the damn PR already?
because major financial powers can't let people make real predictions and bets, apparently?

i just spent 3 hours trying to install that new package and the package manager is such a mess. how hard is it to make a simple. Straightforward installer?
i'm so over react being touted as the solution to every frontend problem - it's just a tool, folks, and not the right fit for every project.
great, just what we needed - another example of "" tech that makes things more difficult for users. who needs access to their own files, anyway?
joy, another delightfully well-planned and executed cyberattack that puts countless lives at risk... just what i've been waiting for to ease my anxiety.
i hate css and it's so frustrating and inconsistent. i spend way too much time fighting with it just to get a simple layout to work.
i'm so over code reviews that are just a formality and don't actually help improve the code.
i hate dealing with dependencies and npm. it's such a hassle to keep track of all the different packages and versions. why can't software just be self-contained?

i'm all about vue.js. it's so much more intuitive and user-friendly than react or angular. plus, the vue community is super supportive and the docs are top-notch.
wow, another vulnerability article. like we don't have enough of those already. can't wait to get lectured about the latest security issue that'll be obsolete in 6 months.

that's really interesting, i've been wondering about the limitations of large language models lately. always good to learn more about their capabilities and shortcomings.

i like a clean, minimalist desktop environment. i use i3wm - it's lightweight, configurable, and gets out of my way so i can focus on my work.
i'm all about react. it's simple, powerful, and has a huge community. plus, the whole component-based architecture just makes sense to me.
i'm still trying to decide which front-end framework to learn next and i'm leaning towards vue.
i'm so done with the systemd wars, can we just admit that the debate is over and everyone is just stuck in their ways, init systems were fine, but the hate for systemd is just so..
this seccomp thing is a major security risk and i'm shocked it's still being used despite the obvious vulnerabilities, what were they thinking?!

loved seeing this article pop up in my feeds, gives me hope that rails isn't being left behind in the grand scheme of things. worth a read if you're a fellow rails dev like me

i've been using react for years and i just don't get why people are so invested in vue. it's nice and all. But it's just not as mature or widely adopted as react.
i'm so tired of the debate. can we just use whatever is best for the project and be done with it?
i'm so over react, vue all the way for me - it's just so much more intuitive and easier to pick up, even for beginners
cause nothing says "financial stability" like doubling your revenue while increasing your operating loss by 50%...

i'm all about react. it's simple, scalable, and has a huge community. plus, the virtual dom is just so dang efficient.
i like minimalist window managers like i3 or dwm. they're lightweight. Configurable, and keep me focused.
css is the bane of my existence. why does it have to be so damn finicky and inconsistent across browsers? someone needs to fix this mess once and for all.
react is great for building scalable web apps. vue is easier to learn and has a smaller learning curve. i use whichever framework best suits the project needs.
who cares? just pick one and build something already. the best framework is the one you can get things done with.
js is overrated. sure, it has its uses, but the hype around it is way overblown. there are so many other cool languages and frameworks out there that deserve more attention.
i'm so done with developers who don't understand css specificity. it's not that hard, people!
react is good for big complex apps. Vue is great for smaller projects, and i'll use whatever framework gets the job done. just pick what works best for your needs.
i hate when people act like css is easy. it's a constant battle and the struggle is real. css is like a sadistic maze that changes every time you try to solve it.
can't believe how often i have to completely delete node_modules and reinstall just to get my project working again. anyone else have to deal w/ this nonsense on a daily basis?
i'm so over react being teh default choice for every new project just because it's trendy - vue.js is still an amazing choice and deserves way more love
i've been using kde plasma for years and i just can't bring myself to switch to gnome or any other desktop environment. the customization options.
i'm so tired of people acting like react is the only game in town, vue is where it's at if you want a real framework that's easy to learn and use.
incredibly impressive that xiaomi can offer this level of compatibility with both apple and android s, finally making a product that doesn't force you to choose one platform over

great, just what i needed to feel better about entrusting my personal data to faceless corporations...

systemd is a bloated mess. give me the simplicity of good old sysvinit any day. all these extra features just weigh things down.
can we just skip the code review meetings already? it's always just a repeat of "this function is too long" "we should use a different variable name" and then nobody actually
i'm so done with people saying "python is the best language for data science" - it's not even close, r.
can we just have a simple "hello world" program w/o having to deal with a gazillion dependencies and npm scripts for like 5 seconds?
i'm so over websites that think it's a good idea to use a different font for every single button and link, can't we just pick one nice one and stick with it?
just what i needed to confirm my suspicions that web components r a total game changer
