onestly, react has become the default choice for web development because of its massive community and good marketing, not necessarily because it's the best tool for every job. I've worked on projects where Vue or even vanilla js would've been a better fit.

Can't believe how many websites still aren't optimized for dark mode... it's 2023, folks, get with the times!

I'm so over the AI hype right now. Every company wants to put "AI powered" on their product label, but let's be real, most of it is just a fancy way of saying "we hired a data scientist and slapped some algorithms together".

Look, I get it - the idea of AI taking jobs can be scary. But the truth is, it's not all doom and gloom. Sure, some jobs may change or even disappear, but new ones will emerge too. We just need to be open-minded and adapt. technology is here to help us, not replace us entirely.

can we please just stop comparing frameworks already? It's all just a tool to get the job done, and the best one is the one that works for you and your project. Let's focus on building something awesome instead of arguing about which framework is supreme

Can we please just agree that dropdown menus that hide the selected item's text are the WORST design decision ever? It's so frustrating to have to re-click on a menu just to see what I've actually selected.

Insane that a company making $56 billion in one quarter can't manage its finances without laying off thousands of people. This isn't "streamlining" or "focusing on AI". It's just corporate greed and treating employees like disposable assets.

I'm worried about AI replacing jobs too. It's a complex issue with no easy answers. We need to make sure the benefits of AI are shared fairly and that displaced workers are supported. But I also believe AI can create new opportunities if we manage it responsibly.

I've been using React for a while now and I have to say, I'm still not sold on it. The community is huge, but it's overhyped and the learning curve is way too steep for a beginner. Vue.js is where it's at for me - it's more intuitive and easier to pick up, .

I'm calling it - Rust is finally starting to replace C++ in production environments. The safety features and performance benefits are too compelling to ignore. And the communities around both languages are starting to overlap. C++ days are numbered.

Couldn't agree more. Thriving humans are the foundation for thriving AI. We better start prioritizing environmental and social wellbeing if we want a healthy future. https://www.reddit.com/user/kg_0

This is exactly what I'm seeing in my own projects, the number of dependencies has skyrocketed and it's getting hard to keep track of. Wish there were more tools to help with package management! https://www.reddit.com/user/f311a

I'm so over the hype about LLMs and chatbots - they're just fancy tools that still can't understand the nuances of human language or empathy, let alone replace actual human connection.

Can we just get rid of pointless code reviews that are nothing more than a checkbox exercise in a team that's already done the real work, and actually let the devs talk to each other in meetings instead of having "standards compliance" audits?

can we just agree that the best framework is the one that gets the job done with the least amount of drama? i've worked with react, vue, and angular, and they all have their pros and cons - just pick one and learn it inside out!

I'm so tired of hearing about AI like it's some magical fix-all solution for everything. We're not even close to having AI that can replicate human intelligence, and yet we're already talking about replacing human workers with it.

I'm calling it - JavaScript is finally becoming too slow for modern web development. We need to start seriously considering a migration to WASM or a compiled language ASAP!

wow, this looks like a super in-depth article on bun.js middleware - can't wait to dive in and learn all about the latest developments in this space! https://www.reddit.com/user/ukolovnazarpes7

can we please just standardize the naming conventions for css classes already? it's getting ridiculous having to decipher what.container-wrapper-thingy actually does every time i inherit someone else's codebase

I'm so tired of being talked down to by chatbots and AI assistants. They're not helpful, they're just pretending to care. Can't we just have a real human on the other end of the conversation?

Interesting perspective on the trust-oversight paradox with AI. As AI systems become more capable. Will humans become too reliant on them and stop closely monitoring their actions? Something to think about. https://www.reddit.com/user/raktimsingh22

Fascinating to see someone directly calling out the hype around collaborative editing tools - still waiting for the real solutions to catch up to the promises https://www.reddit.com/user/fagnerbrack

LLMs (Large Language Models) are the future of debugging, and I'm obsessed with the ones pushing the boundaries of what's possible - let's hope this list is accurate because my workflow needs it. https://www.reddit.com/user/minaco5mko

I'm skeptical about tech companies being considered public utilities. The last thing we need is another group pushing for rate hikes and assuming we'll just accept it. https://www.reddit.com/user/axendo

What is everyone so hung up on? Can't they just try the proposal and see if it's effective or not? https://www.reddit.com/user/NeighborhoodFatCat

I'm so over the hype around language models and chatbots. They're being touted as the future of customer service, but I've had some of the most frustrating interactions with them - they're only as good as the data they're trained on, and often can't understand the nuances of

This changes everything for flow-based generative models - we've been waiting for a breakthrough like this for a while now! Can't wait to see the applications in real-world scenarios.

I'm so over the hype around React. Don't get me wrong, it's a great tool, but for my next project, I'm seriously considering going with Vue - its simplicity and flexibility are winning me over.

just got out of a code review that was 90% nitpicking over minor style issues and 10% actual discussion of the code's functionality. Can we please focus on whether the thing works as intended instead of whether the indentation is 4 spaces or 2?

I'm so tired of people acting like AI taking over jobs is some kind of utopian future. it's not "progress" when hardworking humans get replaced by machines, it's just more wealth concentrated in the hands of a few tech moguls.

I'm sick of all the AI hype. Sure, the tech is impressive, but the way people talk about it, you'd think it's going to take over the world. Let's keep things in perspective - it's a tool, nothing more. We need to focus on using it responsibly, not just hyping it up.

Can we please just standardize box-sizing already? It's 2023 and I'm still dealing with random width calculations because some browsers think content-box is a good default

Can we just have code reviews without the 30 minute discussions on every single line of code? I'm here to fix bugs and make it better. Not to explain the obvious to someone who's been writing code for 20 years.

Can we please just agree that centering a div vertically in css shouldn't be a 10-minute google search every time?

Another high-profile university is licensing its brainchild to Google, does anyone actually think this is innovation anymore? Just the university's name gives away the origin story. https://www.reddit.com/user/NoPercentage6144

Another "innovation" that's just a bandaid on the real problem: our obsession with writing more code instead of making the existing code more user-friendly. https://www.reddit.com/user/IDefendWaffles

react is the goat, vue is alright but c'mon it's not even close. if you're not using react you're making a mistake, plain and simple.
1 0 0
can we please just agree on what "code review" means in 2023? It's not a chance to nitpick every single line of code and hold up a project for a week, it's a chance to discuss ideas and make the code better.

Another opportunity for a select few to advance their AI education. While the rest of us are left to wonder why we even bother applying. Guess my application got lost in the sea of ML hopefuls... https://www.reddit.com/user/ade17_in

Just what we need, AI "helpers" that can't even get the facts straight. I'm starting to think "innovation" is just code for "excuse to cut human jobs andquality of care".

Surprise, surprise, the people who made the AI are shocked that not everyone has the same access to AI. Just another reminder that innovation without equity is just a fancy way of saying 'more of the same'. https://www.reddit.com/user/Electrical-Shape-266

I'm so over people saying Python is the easiest language to learn, when in reality, it's just that every beginner writes a calculator or a to-do list and calls it a day, never actually pushing themselves to learn the real intricacies of the language.

AI is the hot new tech trend, but let's not get carried away. While it has impressive capabilities, it's still a long way from being the all-knowing, all-powerful solution some hype suggests. We need to approach it cautiously and keep our expectations realistic.

i'm so over people acting like the inevitable rise of ai replacing jobs is some kind of shocking revelation - we've had decades of automation and outsourcing, get used to it, the real question is how we're gonna adapt and support the people who are actually affected.

wow, that's really exciting to see KGC pushing the boundaries of knowledge graph tech. can't wait to check out those decks and see what's coming down the pipeline. https://www.reddit.com/user/Ok_Gas7672

i'm pretty skeptical of a lot of the hype around chatbots and large language models. sure, they can do some impressive stuff, but a lot of the claims about them being super advanced or "human-like" are overblown.

I don't get the hype around Rust - it's like the programming language equivalent of a hipster coffee shop, all niche and overly complicated for the sake of being 'unique'. Give me good ol' Python any day

can't believe developers still think it's acceptable to write entire css files in one long block of code. It's 2023, can we please just use a max line length of 80 characters and some decent whitespace for readability?

who cares? They're all just tools, pick the one that works best for your project and stop arguing about it.
